Evelyn L. Hoch

Evelyn L. Hoch, age 89 of Orrstown, passed away Friday, June 6, 2014 at Orrstown Personal Care. She was born Sunday, April 19, 1925 in Newburg, the daughter of the late John and Sylvia (Franklin) Stouffer. Evelyn was a homemaker most of her life. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Orrstown, the Upper Strasburg Community Center, LSL Sportsmen of Orrstown and the Carriage Club of Orrstown Bank. Her husband, Bruce A. Hoch passed away May 11, 1995. She is survived by three daughters, Wanda and husband Brian Barnes of Chambersburg, Doris Little and Betty Reed both of Shippensburg; six grandchildren, Tammy and Dennis Wright of St. Thomas, Tanya and husband Troy Wenger of Roxbury, Christina Shields, Nicole Barnes and Brian Barnes, Jr., all of Chambersburg, Eric Hoch of Shippensburg; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; four sisters, Sylvia and husband Donald Chamberlain of Orrstown, Diane and husband Donald Mickey of Chambersburg, Sondra Perry of York, Melanie Stouffer of Waynesboro; three brothers, Ken and wife Carolyn Stouffer of Chambersburg, Herbert and wife Gloria Stouffer of Shippensburg, John Clifford and wife Joyce Stouffer of Shippensburg. She was preceded in death by her grandson, William Shields, Jr. and one great-granddaughter, Brandy Louise Thomas; four brothers, Dana Lee Stouffer, James Stouffer, Ronald Stouffer, Harold Stouffer and one sister, Barbara Ann Stouffer Snowberger. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 10, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 3442 Orrstown Road, Orrstown with Reverend Chelsea Miller officiating. Interment will be in Otterbein Cemetery. A viewing will be held at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg on Monday June 9 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
