Fay E. Black

Fay E. Black, age 88 of Wenksville, passed away March 26, 2025 at Paramount Senior Living, Fayetteville. She was born June 14, 1936 in Arendtsville to the late Lee and Mary (Pitzer) McCauslin. Fay was the widow of Donald R. Black. She was a member of the Wenksville United Methodist Church, loved being with her family, taking them to the farm, the woods, hunting when she was younger, walking and flowers, especially petunias and snap dragons. Fay worked as a packer for Rice Fruit Company for 34 years and worked side by side on the family farm with her husband, Nance.

She is survived by her children; Diane Myers of Carlisle, Randy “Hunk” Black and wife, Ellen of Aspers and Alan Black and wife, Kim of Aspers; eight grandchildren, Christopher, Jennifer, Nicholas, Bradley, Wade, Emily, Sara and Jacob; nine great-grandchildren and siblings; Jack McCauslin and wife, Doris, Mary Jane Miller and Paul “Pete” McCauslin and wife, Barb. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Betty McCauslin. Fay was preceded in death by her son, Philip Black; son-in-law, Roscoe Myers; grandsons, Keith Black, Eric Black and John Myers and brothers, Dean McCauslin, Sam McCauslin and Reid McCauslin.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street Bendersville. Friends will be received from 10:00am until time of funeral service at 12:00 Noon on Monday, March 31, 2025 at Wenksville United Methodist Church. Rev. Wayne Galloway will officiate the funeral. Fay will be laid to rest beside her husband at Wenksville Cemetery.
