Florence "Becky" R. Shockey

Florence R. "Becky" Shockey, age 73 of Chambersburg, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at her home. She was born Sunday, November 10, 1940 in Chambersburg, the child of the late John W. and Nancy H. (Hoover) Shockey. Florence graduated from Chambersburg High School Class of 1958. She was employed by Chambersburg Hospital as an Accounting Clerk for 30 years. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the 2287 AARP. She loved to sew, especially making quilts. She also loved traveling and camping with her sister Edris. She is survived by her sister, Edris R. (wife of Floyd) Furl of Chambersburg, one brother, John W. (husband of Nancy) Shockey Jr., of Fayetteville, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Memorial Services will be held 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 18 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 26 West Commerce Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201 with Reverend Neil Hively and Reverend Tara Magoon officiating. Interment will follow in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church, 26 West Commerce Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
