Frances L. Orner

Frances L. Orner, age 97 of Bendersville, passed away March 10, 2025 at Laurel Lake Rehabilitation. She was born August 8, 1927 in Romney, WV to the late Arnold and Mable (Timbrook) Southerly. She was widowed by her husband, Richard Orner. Frances was a processor for Knouse Foods and enjoyed bingo, word searches and baking “Cowboy” cookies.

She is survived by her children; Patsy Cover and husband, Richard of Bendersville, Donald Orner of Bendersville, Janet Krall and husband, John of York and Phyllis Knouse and husband, Brian of Arendtsville; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren and sister, Nancy Southerly of Bendersville. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Southerly.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street Bendersville, where funeral services will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 11:00am. Pastor Loren Decker will officiate the funeral. A viewing will be held from 10:am until time of funeral service. Frances will be laid to rest at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
