Frank J. Arnold

Frank J. Arnold, age 90, of Shippensburg, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Restore Health at Shippensburg. He was born February 20, 1931 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of the late Frank J. and Bessie (Deremer) Arnold. Frank grew up painting with his father for most of his life and then in 1952, he worked for the Republic Aviation in Farmingdale, NY as an aircraft mechanic during the Korean War conflict. He was a volunteer fireman for the Roseland Fire Department and the Florham Park Fire Department in New Jersey. His talents included playing the saxophone by ear for big bands in New York, woodworking, and building. He is survived by his two daughters, Linda E. (Ernest) Johnson of Shippensburg and Maureen G. (Teddy) Bodnar of Branchville, NJ; two grandchildren, Vicki D. (Robert) Bisher of Shippensburg and Bryan J. Tribuna of Nashville, TN; three step-grandchildren, James D. (Nikki) Johnson of East Stroudsburg, PA, Thomas L. Johnson of Hamilton, OH, and Christina R. (Cory) Reck of Clearfield, UT; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Rose Wolfert and Beatrice Morrison of Florida. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Dolores M. (Stephenson) Arnold in 2012; and one sister, Helen Serine. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Services will be held at the discretion of the family.
