Franz J. Romanic, age 53 of Fayetteville, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Hershey Medical Center. He was born Wednesday, July 28, 1965 in Bay Shore, Long Island, NY, the son of Joyce I (Mecca) Romanic of Columbia, PA and the late Joseph Romanic. Franz graduated from Hempfield High School in 1983. He earned an Associate's Degree from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology in Electrical Technology. He was employed by Equipment Depot of PA in Mechanicsburg for 14 years. He was a member of Gettysburg Church of Christ, where he was a devoted Bible teacher. He loved all types of fishing, but especially loved fishing in Cape Hatteras, NC. He also enjoyed hunting white tail deer and being outdoors in the mountains of PA. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Lorrene Y. (Bull) Romanic. He is also survived by two sons, Hunter A. and wife Becca Romanic of Jonestown, PA Connor J. Romanic of Fayetteville, one granddaughter Sonya Romanic, two sisters, Valerie Romanic of Columbia, Tonya Best of Elizabethtown and one brother, Drew Romanic of Wilmington, DE. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 6 at 1:00pm at Lake Heritage Community Center, 1000 Heritage Drive, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
