Fred E. Nimmon

Fred Eugene Nimmon, age 70 of Aspers, passed away January 26, 2024. He was born August 5, 1953 in Chambersburg, to the late John Albert and Geraldine M. (Glunt) Nimmon.

Since his early 20’s, Fred had a passion for driving truck. He currently worked for Old Dominion Freight Line. Fred had strong family values and passed those on to his family. He loved being called “Pappy” by his grandchildren and enjoyed watching Penn State football.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Donna M. (Begier) Nimmon; children, Fred Eugene Nimmon, II of Fayetteville, Bethney M. Shildt and husband, Christopher of Littlestown, Donald A. Briska of York Springs, Heidi E. Shakespeare of East Berlin, Susan Wentling and husband, Michael of Reading and Richard A. Briska of Biglerville; nine grandchildren; brothers, John A. Nimmon and wife, Janet of Newville and Timothy Nimmon and wife Darla of Heidlersburg and sister, Nancy Manahan and husband, Scott of Gettysburg. Fred was preceded in death by his infant sister, Connie Nimmon and infant brother, Donald Nimmon.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville, where friends will be received from 5:00 to 7:00PM on Thursday, February 1, 2024.
