Frederic P. Kuntz

Frederic P. Kuntz, age 89 of Gardners, passed away Friday, March 11, 2016 at his home. He was born Wednesday, April 21, 1926 in Gardners, the son of the late Parker and Anna Mae (Taylor) Kuntz. Frederic was formerly employed for 18 years by PennDot as a foreman and manager in Adams and York Counties. He also was a farmer and raised registered Polled Hereford Beef Cattle. He was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Bendersville, Men's Bible Class and had served on the church council. He was a life member of both Bendersville and Aspers fire companies. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mae I. (Welker) Kuntz. He is also survived by two daughters, Nancy L. Miller of Aspers, Karen K. Wenk of Gardners, a son, Raymond F. Kuntz of Frederick, MD, a sister, Jeanette Group of Bendersville, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Parker C. Kuntz who passed away in 1965, two sisters, Violet Showers and Regina Fetters, three brothers, Fremont Kuntz, Arthur Kuntz and Marshall Kuntz. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 17 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 126 Church Street, Bendersville with Reverend B. Wesley Smith III officiating. Interment will be in Bendersville Cemetery. A viewing will be held at Dugan Funeral Home on Wednesday March 16 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
