Frederick J. Worthington, Sr.

Fredrick J. Worthington, Sr., age 71, of Newville died on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Carlisle Regional Medical Center. He was born on Saturday, October 21, 1939 in Spring Run, a son of the late Warren R. and Bertha (Miley) Worthington. Fred had owned S W Builders in Chambersburg for many years. His wife, Durella (Reed) Worthington and a daughter Bertha E. Worthington preceded him in death. Two daughters survive him: Linda Carr, Newville and Emma J. Worthington, Carlisle; as well as three sons: Jamie Worthington, Newville, Fred J. Worthington, Newville and Timothy E. Worthington; abrother, Robert Worthington, Roxbury, 14 grand children and 19 great-grandchildren. Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg is handling professional services. Private services will be at the discretion of the family.
