Gary A. Hippensteel, age 64 of Shippensburg, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. He was born Wednesday, January 24, 1951 in Carlisle, PA, the son of the late Carl J. Hippensteel and Jane E. (Myers) Hippensteel Kohler. Gary graduated from Big Spring High School in 1968. He was a member of the White Circle and FOE of Carlisle. He was a life member of the Amvets and Marine Corp League in Chambersburg and a member of the Moose and Vigilant Hose Company, bothin Shippensburg. He liked to hunt, fish, butcher and anything outdoors. He proudly served his country in United States Marines ranked as a Lance Corporal during Vietnam Era. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Dianna M. (McKee) Hippensteel, four children: Bradley E. Hippensteel (fianc� Christina Rhodes), Toby L. Hippensteel fianc� (Sasha Mentzer) Keith D. Hippensteel and daughter Casey M. Hippensteel, four grandsons, two granddaughters,numerous nieces and nephews, two brothers: Donald and Harry Hippensteel and three sisters: Joyce Hippensteel, Patricia Kohler andKaren Wileman. He was preceded in death by his father, three brothers and a sister. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, November 2 at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory withPastor ChristopherFaylor officiating.A viewing will be held on Sunday, November 1 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens.
