Gary W. Becker, age 80, of Aspers, died January 23, 2022 at home, surrounded by his family. He was born on December 27, 1941 in Wilkes-Barre, to the late Arnold W. and Mary (Hawk) Becker. Gary graduated from the Ross Leffler School of Conservation. He was a Wildlife Conservation & Land Management Officer for the Pennsylvania Game Commission, maintenance foreman for DCNR in Michaux State Forest, a U.S. Air Force veteran and was a member of the Heidlersburg United Brethren Church in Christ, Adams County Fish and Game, PA Trappers Association, National Trappers Association, NRA and the PA Beekeepers Association. Gary was an avid beekeeper and enjoyed making candles, hunting, trapping, fishing, especially blue gill fishing, snakes and anything outdoors. He was an avid collector and arrowhead hunter. Gary trapped over 2,000 foxes over his career. He is survived by his wife, Mary L. “Sis” (Dohl) Becker of Aspers, whom he would have celebrated 56 years of marriage on January 29, daughter, Lisa Graybill and husband, Leon of Gardners, sons, Travis W. Becker of Winter Haven, FL and Wade G. Becker of New Cumberland, grandchildren; Jonah Graybill, Savannah Graybill, Adam Becker and wife, Stephanie, Ethan Becker and Ellowyn Becker and half-brother, Tim Davis and wife, Gloria of Sweet Valley. Gary was preceded in death by his half-brother, Tom Davis. Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville. At Gary’s request, there will be no viewing. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 16, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Heidlersburg Fire Hall, located at 2720 Heidlersburg Road, Gettysburg, PA.
