Gary Lowell Marks, age 87, of Fayetteville, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Paramount Nursing and Rehab of Fayetteville. He was born March 14, 1938 in Sunbury, Northumberland County, PA as the son of the late Grant C. Marks, Sr. and Edna (Ross) Marks and step-mother, Marie Marks.
Gary attended from Shippensburg High School. After high school he enlisted in the Navy and ended up serving as a pilot during the Vietnam War. He worked as a welder for many years. He was a member of American Legion Post 223 in Shippensburg. In his spare time, Gary enjoyed traveling with his wife, biking every day and going to the Gettysburg Battlefield.
Gary is survived by his sister, Audrey P. Watson and her husband, Larry of Shippensburg; brother, Grant C. Marks, Jr. and his wife, Sue of West Virginia; three step-sisters, Doris Stum, Carol Carson and Gloria Proctor and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his wife who passed in 2014, In Sun (Baek) Marks; three sisters, Serena Malinowski, Iona Baker and Peggy Naugle; brother, Kimber Marks and two step-sisters, Peggy Etter and Patsy Neil.
Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Memorial Services are at the discretion of the family.
