George H. Barner, Jr.

George H. Barner, Jr., age 84, of Shippensburg, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020 at his residence. He was born May 4, 1935 in Shippensburg, the son of the late George H., Sr. and Katherine (Fitzgerald) Barner. George graduated in the Class of 1953 from Shippensburg High School. George worked as a Journeyman Wireman for the Local #143 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. George is survived by his former wife, Elizabeth (Alleman) Barner of Shippensburg; three daughters, Linda (Robert) Shoemaker, Kathy Myers and Barbara Barner, all of Shippensburg; two sons, Paul (Eunice) Barner and Gary (Patricia) Barner, both of Shippensburg; sister, Betty Bernard of Carlisle; brother, John Barner of Shippensburg; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brother, Larry Barner. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Memorial Services will be held at the discretion of the family. Interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
