George Wallace Cashell

George Wallace Cashell, 84, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025. Born on July 24, 1941, in Olney, Maryland, he was the son of the late Oliver and Rebecca Cashell. George spent many years as a Milk Tester and ended his career working for Lancaster DHIA, where his diligent and unwavering work ethic was a testament to his character. He was a big fundraiser' for the Pennsylvania Jr. Holstein 4H and the All-American Junior Dairy Show. George was an avid collector, more specifically collecting various marbles. 

He is survived by his beloved wife, Diane Cashell; two daughters, Debbie Hill and her husband, Rodney, and Donna Piper and her husband, John; two sons Paul Cashell and his wife, Nadene, and Tim Cashell; one step-daughter, Trisha McIlwain; one step-son, Jordan McIlwain; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. His family was his greatest joy, and he enjoyed spending time with them. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by one step-daughter, Teresa Brackman; and one granddaughter. 

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 51 Asper Drive in Shippensburg. A memorial service will be held on January 3rd, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Dugan Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 51 Aspet Drive, Shippensburg, PA 17257. A visitation will be held an hour prior to the service. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pennsylvania Jr. Holstein Club or the Maryland Jr. Holstein Club.
