George R. Hager, Jr.

George R. "Rick" Hager, Jr., age 67 of Newburg, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at his home in Newburg. He was born Wednesday, February 08, 1950 in San Diego, the child of the late George R. and Wanda (Seibert) Hager. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post #945. He is survived by his former wife of 14 years, Bonnie Carey and her children; Pamela Short Neidigh (Rob) of Blain and Larry Short, Jr. of Chambersburg, his wife of 23 years, Melinda (Doyle) Hager, children; Will Hudson (Lisa) of Gardners, Christine McElwee (Thomas III) of Newville, grandchildren; Geralynne and Thomas IV. He is also survived by his sister, Sharon Ray of Greenville, NC. He was preceded in death by his brother David Hager and son Eric Halter. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Services will be held at the discretion of the family.
