George Robert Deatrick

George Robert Deatrick, born August 27, 1918 in Biglerville, PA died Wednesday, November 17, 2010 in Gettyburg Hospital. He was the son of the late John W. and Margaret B. (Thompson) Deatrick. He is survived by a son, Scott T. Deatrick and wife Deb of Rogersville, Missouri; granddaughters, Abbie Durr, Jessica Deatrick, Dana Deatrick, a great granddaughter, Meredith Durr; and brother, Dale Deatrick of Centennial. He was predeceased by a son, Brad M. Deatrick and two sisters, Francis Reaver and Bernice Deatrick, and a brother, John W. Deatrick. He had a cabinet manufacturing business and worked in Real Estate. Bob was a member of the New Oxford Social Club. Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman and was proud of the fact that he once shot a groundhog at 733 yards. He also enjoyed discussing politics and football. Bob was an excellent cook and took pleasure in sharing dishes with family and friends. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Services will be held at the discretion of the family.
