Geraldine A. Cooley

Geraldine A. Cooley, age 80, of Aspers, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023 at WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital. She was born March 12, 1942 in Idaville to the late Adrian L. and Anna Catherine (Griffith) Myers.

Geraldine was employed as an LPN for 40 years at the Carlisle Hospital and 10 years at the former Gettysburg Lutheran Home until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening, canning fruits and vegetables, her pets and taking care of people especially children.

Surviving is a daughter, Lisa D. Cooley and son, Christopher O. Cooley and girlfriend June, all of Aspers and four grandchildren, Lleyton, Owen, Amelia and Colton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 42 years, Owen C. Cooley who died March 5, 2003, a brother, Dale Myers, and her sister, Lorraine Myers.

Professional Services have been entrusted to the Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 W. Main Street, Bendersville, PA 17306. Family will receive friends Monday, January 23 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Tuesday, January 24 at 10:00 AM at Dugan Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM with Reverend Dan Kriel officiating. Burial will be in Bendersville Cemetery.
