Glenn O. Rex, age 80 of Biglerville, passed away Monday, February 29, 2016 at Gettysburg Hospital. He was born Monday, October 28, 1935 in Menallen Township, Adams County, the son of the late Guy J. and Sylvia (Howe) Rex. Glenn graduated from Biglerville High School in 1954. He was formerly employed by Peter J. Schweitzer Kimberly Clark Division in Mt. Holly Springs for 30 years. He also worked at Cadbury Beverages in Aspers for 15 years. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Wenksville, a life member of the Bendersville Fire Company, Shoshonean Rod and Gun Club, Life member of the Moose Lodge of Gettysburg, South Mountain Gas Engine Association, Williams Grove Steam Engine Association, Mason Dixon Gas Engine Association, Maryland Historical Steam Engine Association and Ira E. Lady American Legion Post 262 in Biglerville. His wife Dorothy A. (Wickline) Rex passed away in 2001. He is survived by two sons, Ricky O. Rex and companion Pam Shaffer of Gettysburg, and Terry J. Rex, of Biglerville, a grandson Ricky O. Rex, Jr. of Finksburg, MD, five granddaughters, Heather M. Rotz of Aspers, Amber M. Nicholls of Pasadena, MD, Emily S. Rex of Arendtsville, Mary B. Rex of Tulsa, OK, Stacey M. Baugher of Finksburg, six great grandchildren and two sisters, Helen D. and Carol J. Rex, of Biglerville. Cremation services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. In keeping with Glenn's wishes, following cremation, a private service will be held at the family's discretion.
