Glenn A. Slaybaugh, Jr.

Glenn A. Slaybaugh, Jr., age 90 of Biglerville, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Gettysburg Hospital. He was born Wednesday, November 18, 1925 in Gettysburg, the son of the late Glenn A. and Hattie (Bushey) Slaybaugh. Glenn graduated from Arendtsville Vocational High School in 1943. He worked for C.H. Musselman Co. from 1943 to 1980. During that time he and his wife of 63 years, Marion, founded Sunnyhill Orchards, which they operated for 25 years. He and Marion were members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Arendtsville. He was a life member of Arendtsville Fire Company, Free Mason Good Samaritan Lodge 336 for over 60 years, PA State Horticultural Association, Adams County Fruit Growers Association and he was a Master Farmer in 1996. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports and traveling. He is survived by his daughter, Leslie S. Taylor, Gettysburg, his son, Scott M. and wife Debra M. Slaybaugh, Biglerville, granddaughter Whitney M. and husband Christopher Grettler, grandson Lyle A. Slaybaugh and Melissa Miller, and brother Richard A. Slaybaugh. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion in 2011. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. A viewing will be held Sunday, November 13 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Dugan Funeral Home. Funeral services and interment in Biglerville Cemetery will be private.
