Glenna K. Starner

Glenna K. Starner, age 91 of Carlisle, formerly of Gardners, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Friday, May 15, 1925 in Menallen Twp. Adams Co., the daughter of the late Walter P. and Merel M. (Cline) Kline. Glenna retired from McCoy Electronics in Mt. Holly Springs in 1988 after 28 years of service. She was a member of Mt. Victory United Methodist Church. She enjoyed being a homemaker, taking care of the inside as well as the outside of her home. Her husband, Stanley A. Starner passed away September 1, 1983. She is survived by one son, Terry A. and wife Debbie Starner of Carlisle, grandson, Matthew A. Starner of Huntsville, AL and one sister, Irene Books of Muncy. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Eleanor Lauver, Edith Hoffman, Nina Kline and brother Walter P. "Jimmy" Kline. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., Bendersville. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, January 27 at Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street Bendersville with Reverend Thomas Phillips officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Friday from 9:30 AM until time of services.
