Gloria Lieberman, age 91, of Shippensburg, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Shippensburg Healthcare Center. She was born Saturday, January 5, 1924 in New York, the daughter of the late Pasquale and Francesca (Tripodi) Cannata. Gloria was employed in the banking industry for many years and retired from Chemical Bank/J.P. Morgan Chase in 1985. During her retirement she enjoyed traveling, cooking, fashion, craft making and spendingtime with her family especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time with her Shippensburg friend's playing cards and other assorted games and ushering for the different productions at the Luhrs Center.She was a member of Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church in Shippensburg and the Redhatters. She is survived by her children: Debbie J. (husband Ira) Rosen of Shippensburg, Gloryann (husband Joel) Torres of West Palm Beach, FL, William G. Lieberman (husband Tom Costa) of Astoria, NY, Susan Fennimore of Staten Island, NY seven grandchildren: Lindsay and Daniel Rosen, Steven, Kevin (Giovannina) and Richard (Suzanne) Torres, Elizabeth and Frank Fennimore, three great-grandchildren, Anthony, Emily and Patricia Torres, two sisters: Eleanor(George) Self of Roanoke, VA, Frances (Mark) Markowitz of Port Saint Lucie, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband Martin Lieberman in June 2001 and six sisters. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. Memorial service will be held Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Father Dwight Schlaline officating. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 PM until time of services.
