Gregory Lynn Woodal

Gregory Lynn "Jake" Woodal, age 50 of Sale Creek, died Sunday, December 6, 2015. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lester and Edna Hoch and Earl and Hazel Woodal; uncle, Paul Hoch and a cousin, Shawn Hoch. He loved go-cart racing at Thunder Ridge Raceway with his children. He enjoyed rebuilding cars. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a deputy with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department. Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Tammy Woodal; children Nikki Gunter and Tiffany Rae Woodal; step-daughter who he loved as his own, Tabitha Harwood; grandchildren, Michael Woodal and Bryan Woody; mother, Vera Jones; sister, Donna (George) Kimball; nieces, Ashley Cox and Misty Fugate; nephew, Donald Pogue, Jr.; several great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Thursday, December 10 at 11:00 AM in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Alan Stewart officiating. Interment was in Spring Hill Cemetery in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. The family received friends at the funeral home from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday. Arrangements under the direction of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, Florist-North Chapel, Hixson, TN.
