Harold “Tom” T. Riley, 82 of Gardners, entered into God’s eternal care on January 29, 2018 at his home. He was born Friday, February 1, 1935 in Gardners, the son of the late George E. Sr. and Katherine (Barbour) Riley. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Donna Chronister Riley. Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving from 1952-1956. He worked in the trucking industry driving long distance as a safety director for KTC, Gettysburg and L& H Trucking, Hanover, retiring from L & H in 2004. Tom was also a member of the Idaville United Brethren Church in Gardners. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Greg (Pam) Riley of Gardners, three granddaughters, Jessica Krishingner of Hanover, Megan Sulek of Philadelphia and Bobbi Tyler of Gardners, three great-grandchildren, Marissa, Noah and Sammy, six siblings, Janet Barrick, Jane (Dick) Buckley both of Gardners, Beverly Mains of Mechanicsburg, Ronald (Carolyn) Riley of Wellsville, Donald Riley and Cindy of Aspers and George (Ruth) Riley, Jr. of Three Springs. He was preceded in death by a son Steven Riley, daughter-in-law Carolyn and two sisters, Johanna Beam and Betty Weatherly. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home Inc., Bendersville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 1 at Idaville United Brethren Church, Gardners with Reverend Stuart Johns officiating. A viewing will be held from 9:00 AM until time of services. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, York Springs with Military Honors provided by Adams County Allied Veterans. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Idaville United Brethren Church, 3590 Carlisle Road, Gardners, PA 17324 or Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
