Harold T. "Humpy" Emlet

Harold T. (Humpy) Emlet, Sr. age 90 of Aspers died Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Gettysburg Hospital. He was born September 3, 1923 in Huntington Township, Adams County, the son of the late Lawrence E. and Ruth A. (Minter) Emlet. Harold was formerly employed by R and L Orchards for 40+ years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and visits from his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Leona E. (Hamilton) Emlet. He is also survived by four daughters: Darlene M. Asper of Gardners, Doris J. Ritter of Aspers, Susan A. Miller of York Springs, Sandy L. McClain of Fairfield; one son: Harold T. Emlet, Jr. of Aspers; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and one sister, Miriam Mentzer of Carlisle. He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Stephen A. Emlet and Timothy T. Asper, three sisters: Sarah Emlet, Margie Minter and Ruth Lehr and seven brothers: Victor, Neil, Guy, Harry, Glenn, Fred and Earl Emlet. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 23 at Dugan Funeral Home, Bendersville with Chaplain Jessica Lee officiating. Interment will be in Upper Bermudian Church Cemetery. A viewing will be held Monday from 10:00 AM until time of services.
