Harold F. "Cy" Tuckey

Harold F. "Cy" Tuckey, age 87 of Atlanta, GA, formerly of Arendtsville, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. He was born Monday, October 26, 1936 in Gettysburg, the son of the late Eugene F. and Isabelle Mary (Culp) Tuckey.

Harold graduated from Biglerville High School in 1954. He proudly served in the US Army from April 6, 1956 to Nov. 16, 1957 and then the US Army Reserves until April 1962 where he attained the rank of sergeant. Harold was formerly employed by Inland Container for 45 years and retired as an inventory specialist. He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Arendtsville, where he served as President of the consistory and head of the property committee. He also sang in the choir of the church. Harold was a member of Arendtsville Lions Club, where he previously served as president. He belonged to the Elks of Gettysburg and was also a member of the Arendtsville Fire Company.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Betty M. (Zeigler) Tuckey; daughter, Dawn M. Tuckey and son in law Sam Khoukha of Marietta, GA and son, Stephen F. Tuckey of Mechanicsburg, PA.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 24, 2024 at Zion United Church of Christ, 3 Gettysburg Street, Arendtsville, with Reverend Heather Kurtz officiating. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery. A Viewing will be held on Friday at the church from 1:00 PM until time of services.
