Harriet G. Hoffman

Harriet G. Hoffman, age 87, of Gardners, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at her home. She was born Sunday, October 11, 1928 in Hanover, the daughter of the late George and Clara (Bollinger) Geiselman. Harriet graduated from Hanover High School in 1947. She was a homemaker most of her life raising her three sons and helping her husband on the farm. She was a member of Upper Bermudian Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid at the church for over 60 years and a Sunday School teacher for over 20 years. Her husband of 61 years, Harry E. Hoffman, passed away in 2012. She is survived by three sons, Michael and Peggy Hoffman of Gardners, Duane and wife Kathy Hoffman of Gardners, and Andy Hoffman and fianc� Donna Wojcik of York Springs, five grandchildren: Trevor and wife Megan Hoffman of York, Ross and wife Rachael Hoffman of Gardners, Seth and wife Tabitha Hoffman of Gardners, Abigail Hoffman of Gardners and MyKenzie Hoffman of York Springs, great-granddaughter, Avery Hoffman, two sisters, Betty Reichart and Charlotte Hartman, both of Hanover and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Fred Geiselman. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 17 at Upper Bermudian Lutheran Church, 185 Ground Oak Church Road, Gardners with Reverend David Clark officiating. Interment will be in Upper Bermudian Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 2595 Interstate Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110. The family would like to express special thanks to the following caregivers who have provided wonderful care for their mother: Joyce, Penny, Joy, Pam and Callie.
