Harriet K. Williams

Harriet K. Williams, age 99 of Gettysburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Transitions Health Care in Gettysburg. She was born August 24, 1919 in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of the late Charles and Martha A. (Kerkoff) Knight. Before her retirement, Harriet served food in the cafeteria at Deer Park Elementary School in Deer Park, MD. She was a member of Reisterstown Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Reisterstown, MD. Harriet was known for her love of cooking and baking. She loved family gatherings and enjoyed cooking for them. She is also survived by her son, Ronald Williams and his wife, Donna of Gettysburg, PA, two grandchildren, Jen Gastley and her husband, Chad of Gettysburg, PA and Robert Williams, Jr. of Las Vegas, great-granddaughter, Sophia Gastley of Gettysburg and sister, Martha Yingling of Annapolis, MD. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Lester Lee Williams and son, Robert Lee Williams, Sr. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Private Memorial Services will be held at the family’s discretion.
