Harry E. Hoffman

Harry E. Hoffman, age 84, of Gardners died Friday, April 27, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born Wednesday, May 25, 1927 in Gardners the son of the late Lloyd W. and Vera M. (Group) Hoffman. Harry graduated from Biglerville High School Class of 1945. He retired from the US Postal service after 34 years as a rural carrier. He was a lifelong farmer. He was a lifelong member of Upper Bermudian Lutheran Church in Gardners and a former church council member. He is survived by his wife, Harriet J (Geiselman) Hoffman to whom he was married for 61 years. He is also survived by three sons: Michael Hoffman and wife Peggy of Gardners, Duane Hoffman and wife Kathy of Gardners, Andy Hoffman and fianc� Donna Wojcik of York Springs; five grandchildren: Trevor and wife Megan Hoffman of York, Ross and wife Rachael Hoffman of Gardners, Seth and Abigail Hoffman of Gardners, MyKenzie Hoffman of York Springs; one great granddaughter, Avery Hoffman of York, one sister Marion Boyer of Holland, MI; one uncle, Alonzo (Lonnie Hoffman of York Springs and one aunt, Jean Nace of New Oxford. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main St., Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 2 at Upper Bermudian Lutheran Church, Gardners with the Reverend Eric Anderson officiating. Interment will be in Upper Bermudian Church Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from noon until time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Upper Bermudian Lutheran Church, 185 Ground Oak Church Road, Gardners, PA 17324 or Upper Bermudian Church Cemetery.
