Helen A. Martin

Helen A. Martin, age 89 formerly of Roxbury, died Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Orrstown Personal Care. She was born Monday, July 30, 1923 in Amberson Valley, the daughter of the late Jacob P. and Ethel (Doyle) Goshorn. Helen retired fromKnouse Foods, Chambersburg after many years of service. She was also formerly employed by Lurgan Elementary School as a cook, Boise Cascade in Shippensburg, H.J. Heinz in Chambersburg and the canning factory in Roxbury. She was a member of Roxbury United Methodist Church, Golden Age Burial Association, AARP, and frequented Upper Strasburg Senior Center. Her husband Ebbert S. Martin passed January 10, 2003 after 61 years of marriage. She is survived by two daughters: Sharon K. and husband Donald Johnson of Orrstown and Barbara L. and husband John Rebok, ofNewburg; a sister, Yvonne Gregg ofCarlisle and a brother, Paul and wife Joan Goshorn of Chambersburg;three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, onehalf-sister and three brothers. Professional services are being handled by Dugan FuneralHome and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg.Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 22 at DuganFuneral Home and Crematory with Reverend John Ile, Jr. officiating.
