Helen C. Rhine

Helen C. Rhine, age 80 of Shippensburg, died Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Shippensburg Healthcare Center. She was born Sunday, April 17, 1932 in Shippensburg, the daughter of the late Wayne and Laura (Gettel) Comerer. She was formerly employed by Beistle Company in Shippensburg for 30-plus years.She was a member of Shippensburg Post 223 American Legion Auxiliary.She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by two daughters: Barbara J. and husband Robert Bakner of Waynesboro and Sharon A. and husband Nicholas Hill of Chambersburg; one son, Jerry E. and wife Patty Rhine of Shippensburg; one sister, Frances Louise Bigler of Shippensburg, one brother, Donald Comerer of Mechanicsburg; six grandchildren,ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lenard and Wilber Comerer, two grandchildren, Casey Rhine and Matthew Morris; and her ex-husband, Gerald E. Rhine, who passed in 1982. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. Arrangements are incomplete at this time.
