Helen A. Cline, 87, formerly of Gardners, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at Cross Keys Village-The Brethren Home Community. She was born Saturday, January 4, 1930, in Latimore Twp., Adams Co., the daughter of the late George L. and Annie Mae (Guise) Brough. Helen graduated from Biglerville High School in 1948 and The Harrisburg Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1951. She was employed as a Registered Nurse at Harrisburg Hospital for 54 years. She was a member of the Upper Bermudian Lutheran Church in Gardners and The Harrisburg Hospital Alumni Association. She served as a Girl Scout leader and was a past president of The York Springs Elementary School PTO, as her daughters were growing up. She continued to be actively involved in her children's and grandchildren's lives. She and Allen enjoyed camping and traveling throughout the United States and internationally. Helen is survived by her husband of 65 years, Allen L. Cline, three daughters: Holly (Mike) Cookerly of East Berlin; Jill (Jeff) Davidson of New Oxford; and Tammy (Marvin) Kehr of Littlestown. She has six grandchildren: David (Alessandra) Cookerly of Bradenton, Florida; Courtney (Mike) O'Brien of Iwakuni, Japan; Nathan Cookerly of Pittsburgh; Whitney (Ketric) Buffin of San Diego, California; and Jordan and Ryan Kehr of Littlestown, and 5 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two sisters, Marcia Showers of Gardners and Elaine Knoll of Perkasie, PA. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Day. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, November 18 at Upper Bermudian Lutheran Church, 185 Ground Oak Church Rd., Gardners, with Reverend David Clark officiating. Interment will be in Upper Bermudian Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Upper Bermudian Lutheran Church from 1:30 PM until the time of the service.
