Helen L. Pifer, age 60 of Hagerstown, died Saturday, November 17, 2012 at her home. She was born on Thursday, May 8, 1952 in Ohio, the child of the late John H. and Cutis (Atkins) Scheufel. Helen was employed by Howard County Police Department as a dispatcher for 10 years. She is survived by her sister, Joni Scheufel of Gettysburg. Cremation services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, December 1 at 1:00 PM at Wenksville Cemetery with Matt Grim officiating.
