Helen May Steinour

Helen May Steinour, age 86, of Carlisle, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025 at The Gardens of Camp Hill in Camp Hill. She was born on July 1, 1939 in Carlisle, the daughter of the late Ervin C. and Sarah K. (Moyer) Smith.

Helen attended Carlisle High School. She worked at Carlisle Tire and Wheel for many years then became a homemaker for her husband and children. In her spare time, Helen enjoyed square-dancing when the kids were young, playing BINGO, traveling to nearby states and listening to country music.

Helen is survived by her three sons, Barry Lee Steinour and his wife, Felicia of Mount Holly Springs, Robert William Steinour, Jr. and his wife, Susan of Carlisle and David W. Steinour and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Robert W. Steinour, Sr.; two infant daughters, Denise and Lisa Steinour; and two brothers, Earl R. Smith and Merle E. Smith.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main St., Bendersville. Memorial Services are at the discretion of the family.
