Helmut G. Krill

Helmut G. Krill, age 84 of Shippensburg, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born Thursday, April 16, 1931 in Danzig, Germany, the son of the late Karl and Gertrude E. (Krill) Gronau. Helmut owned and operated several businesses including Ta-Re-Ba Sewing located in Chambersburg, TK Fashions in Shippensburg and Durbin Manufacturing located in Durbin, WV. He enjoyed the many hours spent babysitting his grandchildren, shopping at Wegman's with his brother Pete, and playing with his cat, Karma. You would always see Helmut sharply dressed and keeping up with the latest in technology. His wife, Kathe (Grenz) Krill passed away April 29, 1999. He is survived by three daughters: Regina R. Kessler of York, Barbara Gettys of Dover, and Tammy M. Small of Chambersburg; a son, Klaus D. Krill of York; sixteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a brother, Pete Anders of Hanover. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sylvia Krill. Cremation services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg.
