Herbert R. Ruquet, Sr.

Herbert R. Ruquet, Sr., age 70, formerly of Shippensburg, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation in Carlisle. He was born Tuesday, December 11, 1945 in Bronx, NY, the son of the late Edward and Helen (Salerno) Ruquet. Herbie was a self-employed mason in the New York area for many years. He was a jokester and enjoyed having fun. He will be missed by family, friends and the staff of the Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation. He left a lasting impression on those that he touched. He is survived by two daughters, Maria Ruquet-Murray of Shoreham, NY, Michelle Ruquet of Shippensburg, a son, Herbert R. Ruquet, Jr. of Shippensburg, four grandchildren, Alex Ruquet, Anthony Camacho, Destiny Camacho and Christopher Murray, Jr. and three brothers, Donald Ruquet of Ohio, Tommy Ruquet of Florida, and Terry Ruquet of California. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Eddie and Kenny Ruquet and one sister, Gloria Dorsi. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, April 1 at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory. A prayer service will take place at 7:00 PM.
