Hortencia Baez-Baez

Hortencia Baez-Baez, age 72, of Shippensburg, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Chambersburg Hospital. She was born July 25, 1949 in Fajardo, Puerto Rico as the daughter of the late Alejandro and Asuncion Baez. She was a member of Iglesia de Dios Aposento Alto in Chambersburg. In her spare time, Hortencia enjoyed crafting and spending time with her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Jesus Manuel Gonzalez Rodriguez of Shippensburg; daughter, Ivelisse Gonzalez-Baez; three sons, Angel Omar Osorio-Gonzalez, Morgan Manuel Paz-Gonzalez and Alexander Paz-Gonzalez; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Hortencia is preceded in death by her daughter, Salili Gonzalez-Baez and her son, Jesus Daniel Gonzalez. Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Iglesia de Dios Aposento Alto, 230 Mt. Moriah Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201, with Pastor Federico Laureano officiating. A Public Viewing will take place at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of services. A Procession will follow the service to Mt. Rock Cemetery in Shippensburg.
