Imogene S. Shafer

Imogene S. Shafer, age 73, formerly of Shippensburg, died Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Green Ridge Village, Newville. She was born Tuesday, July 23, 1940 in Hamilton, OH, the daughter of the late Herman and Helen V. (Guiler) Schultz. Imogene graduated from Talawanda High School in 1958. She moved to Pennsylvania in 2007. Her husband, Carl R. Shafer died November 7, 1983. She is survived by a daughter, Carlena Moore of Eaton, OH; a son, Rex A. Shafer of Eaton, OH; two granddaughters, Julie Carney of Newville and Candy Smith of Newburg; four grandsons, Robert Heindl of Eaton, OH, Michael Heindl of Statesville, NC, Nathen Shafer of New Castle, IN and Gavin Shafer of Hamilton, OH; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Paulette Sloane of Florida; a half-sister, Cathy Williams of Ft. Wayne, IN and a half-brother, Wayne Wilkerson. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Virginia Rauber who passed August 22, 2013. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, April 30th with John King officiating at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory.
