J. Vicki Short

J. Vicki (Kane) Short, age 61 of Hanover, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at York Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born Wednesday, September 24, 1952 in Gettysburg, the daughter of the late Albert E. and Leeanna (Davis) Kane, Jr. Vicki attended Biglerville High School. She was employed by Special Care of Lancaster for several years and was a member of Freedom Valley Church in Gettysburg. She is survived by a daughter, Sheila M. and husband Brian Frock of Arendtsville, two grandchildren, Brady Frock and Sierra Frock and four sisters, Carol and husband Junie Miller of Gettysburg, Sandy and husband Eddie Koller of York, Laura Ann Kane of Biglerville and Debbie Kane of Aspers, a brother, Charles E. and wife Joan Kane of Hanover and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Kane and Darlene Kessel and a brother, Richard L. Kane. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, January 20 at The Intersection, 1980 Baltimore Pike, Gettysburg (formerly Yingling's Auction) with the Pastor Gerry Stoltzfoos officiating. A visitation will be held on Monday at the church two hours before the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc. P.O.
