Jack R. Rauber, age 63 of Shippensburg, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at his home. He was born Wednesday, August 26, 1953 in Wayland, NY, the son of the late Nicholas F., Sr. and June L. (Noragong) Rauber. Jack was formerly employed by SKF Industries in Shippensburg, York and retired from the Hanover facility after 42 years of service. He had worked at Motorola in Carlisle for approximately six months during a lay-off from SKF. He was a member of Mowersville United Brethren in Christ Church. He was a former member of the Moose of Chambersburg and American Legion in Shippensburg. He loved spending time in his garage doing woodworking. His best times were spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, of 42 years, Sandra K. (Shenk) Rauber. He is also survived by two daughters, Shelly M. and husband Mark Ryder, Sr. of Amberson, Shannon M. and husband David Robinson of Fayetteville, five grandchildren, Mark C. Ryder, Jr., Freddie C. Ryder, Harley N. Robinson, Kendra M. Robinson, Ayden M. Ryder, two sisters, Pennelope A. Sommerville of Shippensburg, Catherine M. Moyer of Newport, two brothers, Garth J. Rauber, Sr. of Shippensburg andJohn R. Rauber of Newville. He was preceded in death by a grandson Heath C. Ryder that passed on the same date, August 2, 2010. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond N. and Nicholas F. Rauber. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg with Reverend David Halteman officiating. Interment will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House in memory of Heath Ryder, 745 W. Governor Road, Hershey, PA 17033.
