Jackie Varner

Jackie Varner, age 87 of Shippensburg, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the Shippensburg Healthcare Center. He was born January 31, 1932 in Shippensburg, the son of the late Elizabeth M. (Gutshall) and Paul N. Varner, Sr. Jackie worked for De Rose Industries in Chambersburg. In his spare time, Jackie enjoyed hunting and was known to love animals. He proudly served in the United States Army. He is survived by his loving niece, Wendy L. Ramsey and her husband Bob of Chambersburg, two sisters, Meda Leedy and Wanda Rotz, both of Shippensburg, one brother, Paul Varner, Jr. of Shippensburg and several extended family members. He was preceded in death by his sister, Violet Truett and brother, Ray Varner. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Memorial services are at the discretion of the family. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
