Jairus "Jarry" F. Kuntz

Jairus F. "Jarry" Kuntz, age 73 of Gardners, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 5, 2013 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Friday, June 2, 1939 in Gettysburg, the son of Ethel G. Tuckey Kuntz of Gardners and the late Fremont S. Kuntz. Jairus graduated from York Springs High School in 1957. Jairus worked most of his life on the family farm outside of Bendersville. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Bendersville and Bendersville Cemetery Association Board. He was preceded in death by one son, Kevin J. Kuntz who passed in 1969. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Diana K. (Crum) Kuntz. He is also survived by two sisters: Carol L. and husband Leonard Lobaugh and Linda M. and husband Jay Murtoff, all of Gardners; two brothers: Louis P. and wife Bonnie Kuntz, and Dean A. and wife Karen Kuntz; all of Gardners; as well as many nieces and nephews. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 9 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 126 Church Street, Bendersville with Reverend Robert S. McEllroy lll officiating. Interment will be in Bendersville Cemetery. Visitations will be held Friday, February 8 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Dugan Funeral Home and on Saturday, February 9 at the church, from 10:00 AM until time of services.
