James L. Allen

James L. Allen, age 83 of Shippensburg, passed away Monday, August 21, 2017 at Forest Park Nursing Home. He was born Saturday, February 24, 1934 in Bowling Green, FL, the son of the late David P. and Agnes M. (Reynolds) Allen. James was formerly employed as a medical courier in Florida. He was a member of the Shippensburg Senior Center. He enjoyed fishing and telling jokes. He loved to flirt with the ladies. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He is survived one daughter, Agnes VanNote of Shippensburg, three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one sister, Joyce H. Laker of Tampa, FL, one brother, Marshall E. Allen of Peachtree, GA. Cremation services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Shippensburg Senior Center, 115 N. Fayette Street, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
