James C. Showers

James C. Showers, age 73, of Gettysburg died Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Golden Living. He was born Thursday, October 13, 1938 in Menallen Twp. Adams Co. the son of the late Kermit B. and Nellie(Warren) Showers. James was employed by the National Park Service in Gettysburg in the maintainance department for 14 years. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Gettysburg. He served in the U.S. Army for 15 years having served in Vietnam. He is survived by his son, Steven J. Olson of Philadelphia, a sister, Nancy E. Group of Biglerville and abrother, Barry L. Showers of Orrtanna. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 4, in the Wenksville Cemetery with Reverend James R. Speelman officiating.Military serviceswill be provided by the Adams County Allied Veterans.
