James W. Sherman, known as "Jim" and "Iggy", age 56, of Amberson, passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born June 3, 1964 in Chambersburg, the son of the late Grant and Donna (Sollenburger) Sherman. Jim worked in maintenance at Beistle Company in Shippensburg for 18 years. His hobbies included cooking on the grill and smoker, working around the house, gardening, drinking beer, and spending time with his wife and grandson. Jim was loving, kind, sweet, and loved to make people laugh. He was loved by everyone. Jim is survived by his loving wife and soulmate of 20 years, Audrey (Burdge) Sherman of Amberson; one grandson, Kasen Ehrhart; many nieces and nephews; two sisters, Cathy Sherman and Kim Sherman; two brothers, Mike Sherman and Bob Sherman; father-in-law, Edsel Burdge, Sr.; mother-in-law, Alma Burdge; sister-in-law, Sonya Mae (Burdge) Jones; brother-in-law, Edsel Burdge, Jr. and extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Casey Ehrhart; his maternal grandparents, William and Louise Henderson and mother-in-law, Vonnie (Piper) Hamil. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, January 27 at the funeral home with his brother-in-law, Edsel Burdge, Jr. officiating. A Viewing will be held Wednesday from 6:00 PM until time of services.
