Janet Louise Frey

Janet Louise Frey, age 92, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2026 at home. Born April 17, 1934 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Maurice Eyler and Opal (Hancock) Eyler, of Shippensburg. Janet was a longtime member of the Shippensburg Business Community, as the owner/operator of Janet’s Beauty Salon, for over 50 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Frey of Carlisle and her daughter, Molly J. Clippinger of Shippensburg as well as several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Stanley Clippinger and wife, Lorraine of Lyman, SC; her daughter, Mary Jane (Clippinger) Ansell and husband, Jay of Honey Brook; grandchildren, Jesse Clippinger of SC, Matthew Clippinger of Michigan, Chase Clippinger of Carlisle and Saira Hockenberry and husband, Brock of Huntingdon. Also surviving are 3 sisters; Patsy Rodgers of Chambersburg, Emma Jane Sheffler and husband, Barrie of Chambersburg, Diann Barnhart and husband, Barry of Shippensburg and many nieces and nephews.
