Janet Mae Wagaman, beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on September 21, 1942, in Laurel, Maryland, Janet brought joy and kindness to everyone she met throughout her life. Residing in Bendersville, Pennsylvania, she was a cherished member of her community and an active participant in various local organizations.
A dedicated waitress for many years, Janet served with grace and warmth across multiple establishments. Janet was a proud member of the Wenksville United Methodist Church. She also found joy in her involvement with the Bendersville Fire Auxiliary, the Biglerville Fire Auxiliary, and the Red Hat Ladies. Janet enjoyed working in her flower beds, shopping, traveling, and spending time at Sunfest in Ocean City. Janet cherished the beauty of Hawaii and relished the adventures of bus trips with friends, creating cherished memories along the way.
She is survived by her son, Greg Wagaman; her brothers, Dave Shildt and Larry Shildt; and her beloved kitty's. Janet was preceded in death by her late husband, Kenneth Wagaman; her parents, Paul and Evelyn Shildt; and her daughter, Tammy Wagaman. Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 111 S. Main St. in Bendersville. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Wenksville United Methodist Church, 2010 Wenksville Rd, Biglerville, PA 17307. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Janet will be laid to rest in Wenksville Cemetery.
