Jay C. Black, age 59, of Biglerville, passed away August 1, 2024 at home. He was born February 16, 1965 in Gettysburg to Charles and Alice (Kump) Black. Jay was a forklift operator for International Paper in Biglerville and enjoyed hunting.


He is survived by his mother, Alice of Wenksville; his wife of 36 years, Tracey L. (Cutshall) Black of Biglerville; son, Justin Black of Biglerville; daughters, Ashlee Pyne and husband, Tyler of Cashtown and Kenli Brown and husband, Trent of Arendtsville; six grandchildren and sisters, Dorothy Black of Wenksville, Kay Heflin of Gettysburg, Peggy Riley of Fairfield and Cindy Wagaman of Bendersville. Jay was preceded in death by his father, Charles and his sister, Connie Hutchison.


Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville, where Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. A Viewing will be held from 11:00 AM until time of service. Reverend John Weber will officiate the Funeral. Jay will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery, Arendtsville.
