Jean S. Day

Jean S. (Brough) Day, age 81 of New Oxford, PA, formerly of Gardners, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community. She was born on Tuesday, July 19, 1932 in York Springs, the daughter of the late George L. and Annie M. (Guise) Brough. Jean graduated from the Biglerville High School. She was formerly employed by Reeves Hoffman Crystal Plant in Carlisle for many years. Jean was a member of the Upper Bermudian Lutheran Church. Her husband, Darby Day, passed away on April 3, 1996. She is survived by three sisters, Helen A. Cline and husband Allen of New Oxford, Marcia Showers and husband Marlene of Gardners, and Elaine R. Knoll and husband Robertof Perkasie, along with six nieces, two nephews and many great-nieces, nephews and cousins. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Upper Bermudian Lutheran Church, 185 Ground Oak Church Road in Gardners with Reverend David Clark officiating. Interment will be in Upper Bermudian Lutheran Church Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church Friday from 10:00 AM until time of services.
