Jean Marie Dugan

Jean Marie Dugan, age 83, of Aspers, passed away August 7, 2024 at home. She was born July 16, 1941 in Biglerville to the late Guy and Thelma (Routzahn) Hartzel. She was widowed by her husband, Harold Dugan in 2013. Jean was a data entry clerk for Penn Forestry, attended Cline’s Church, until it closed, enjoyed listening to church and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen M. Swartz and husband, Donald of Aspers; grandchildren, Kayla Showers, Ashley Prager and husband, Kyle, Jenna Deardorff and husband, Ricky and Travis Swartz; great-grandson, Brandon Prager and sisters, Fern Hess of Gettysburg and Fay Orner of Biglerville. Jean was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Hartzel.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville, where Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. Pastor Craig Loewen will officiate the Service. A Viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until time of funeral. Jean will be laid to rest at Greenmount Cemetery in Arendtsville.
