Jean Louise Garman

Jean Louise Garman, age 77, of York Springs, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at UPMC Carlisle Regional Medical Center in Carlisle. She was born March 6, 1948 in Arendtsville, PA, as the daughter of the late Ira John and Mary Louise (Staub) Cutshall.

Jean graduated in the Class of 1966 from Biglerville High School. She retired from Temple Inland, now International Paper, after working in customer service for 43 years. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Arendtsville. In her spare time, Jean enjoyed reading, sewing, coloring with the grandkids, solving puzzles and spending time at home with family.

Jean is survived by her loving husband of 14 years and faithful companion of 41 years, Barry M. Garman; step-children, Kristy Deitz and her husband, Clayton of Boiling Springs, PA and Denton Garman and his wife, Tiffanie of New Oxford, PA; four step-grandchildren, Brodric Deitz, Kellan Deitz, Ava Garman and Mya Garman; two sisters, JoAnn Culp and her husband, Tim and Susan O’Neill and her husband, Kevin; two brothers, Gerald Cutshall and his wife, Elizabeth and Ronald Cutshall and his wife, Ernie; sister-in-law, Terry Metz and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Cutshall.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., Bendersville. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville, PA 17306, with Pastor Ben Siebert officiating. A Procession will follow the service to Fairview Cemetery, Arendtsville.
